Jennie Abbot is the Founder and Director of Harmony Kids Yoga. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (CYA-CYT) with the Canadian Yoga Alliance. Jennie is also a Color Me Yoga Children's Yoga Teacher Graduate, and a Rainbow Kids Yoga Certified Instructor. She has more than 10 years' experience as a children's dance teacher. She has also completed Yoga for the Special Needs Child and Safe Anatomy for Children courses through Marsha Danzig, founder of Color Me Yoga. Jennie has taken Mindfulness Training through Dr. Dan Siegel, Author and Executive Director of the Mindsight Institute. Jennie's life passion is sharing the joy of Yoga with Children!
Lisa Thompson is a Harmony Kids Yoga Instructor offering Yoga to kids of all ages in the Lower Mainland. Lisa is a 300 hour yoga instructor registered with Yoga Alliance as well as a BCRPA Registered Fitness Leader with specialty areas in Older Adult, Group Fitness, Yoga Fitness, and Fitness Theory. Lisa has many years of experience teaching many different types of group classes to various ages. With her love of yoga, fitness and movement in general, Lisa hopes to inspire children to believe that we are all special and have a gift to give.
Kate is a Harmony Kids Yoga Instructor and is a certified Children's Yoga Instructor through Rainbow Kids Yoga. She is a BC certified teacher with a degree in Kineseology. Kate has taught elementary PE, middle school and worked with diverse learners and their support teams. She has her National Coaching Certification in both soccer and basketball. She enjoys teaching studio classes, whole school yoga sessions, as well as doing birthday yoga birthday parties. Kate has three children, two that attend Harmony Kids Yoga classes. Kate feels that Yoga is a vital component of her family's life; helping to foster mindfulness, body awareness and instill a love for self!
Mary is a 95 Hour Registered Children's Yoga Instructor through Rainbow Kids Yoga Company. More info to come!
Gaylene is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E500-RYT) with Yoga Alliance, Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT), Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RCYT), Certified Children's Relaxation Teacher (CCRT) and a Laksmi Voelker Chair Yoga Teacher (LVCY). Along with speciality training in Yoga for Fertility, Yoga for Round Bodies, Yoga for Kids and Yoga for Seniors. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer, Yoga Leader and Group Fitness Leader with BCRPA. Gaylene has over 11 years experience teaching yoga to students of all ages as well as her own children who share her love of yoga. Gaylene also trains new Teachers with a Registered 200 Hour Registered Yoga School based in Langley, BC. Gaylene's love is spreading the knowledge and practice of yoga with people everywhere!
AJ is a Harmony Kids Yoga Instructor offering Yoga to Children of all ages throughout the Lower Mainland. AJ is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and has been a competitive dancer and dance instructor for over 14 years. AJ has been practicing Yoga for many years in order to gain strength, flexibility and endurance to enhance her dance instructing and practice. AJ combines her love of dance and yoga in a way that compliments and enhances both practices. AJ has extensive knowledge in teaching children of all ages as well as yoga for seniors, pregnancy, new moms, fertility, restorative and sport specific practices. AJ hopes to inspire children of all ages to pursue their passion through love of movement.

Heather is a Communications Professional, Brand Strategist, mother and entrepreneur. She loves creating strategic, meaningful brands that help businesses truly connect with the audiences they serve. When she's not working on HKY, she combines her background in Graphic Design and Marketing Communications to deliver creative services though her company Bizbee Creative - one she established years ago when her son was born. Heather is a huge fan of living a healthy lifestyle and incorporates yoga into her life whenever possible for the physical and mental benefits it provides. She enjoys practicing yoga with her husband, and son when she can, and sees it as an integral part of a healthy balanced outlook for the whole family.
